Terms of Use — Word of the Day

By downloading or using Word of the Day ("the app") you agree to these terms.

Free trial and subscription

The app is free to use for 30 days from the first time you open it. After that, a subscription is needed to keep seeing the daily word. Two auto-renewing subscriptions are offered: monthly and yearly. The current price is shown in the app and in the store before you buy, in your local currency.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically at the same price and length unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies.

Using the app

We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own non-commercial purposes. Please don't copy, resell or redistribute the app or its word content.

If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

Content

Word definitions, pronunciations and etymologies are written with care, but are provided "as is" for general interest and learning. We may add, change or remove words and features over time.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the current version will always be at this address. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
